The siege of Gaza must end. The oppression of the Palestinian people must end. The whole world is finally open our eyes to the crime of a half million people trapped in the largest concentration camp ever known in history.
Although the media talking about something else, the drama of people trapped in the Gaza Strip continues. Gaza is in front of us and is the place where today's oppression is consumed larger, more manifest injustice. Be still not possible, action is needed!
Worldwide, thousands of activists have raised the cry for help coming from Gaza. The Freedom Flotilla 1, last May, has represented the pinnacle of international solidarity that has developed in recent years. We all know what was the Israeli response: a barbaric attack and murder, made to come in international waters, which led to the loss of 9 our comrades and brothers in Turkey.
If Israel's attempt was to terrorize the movement of solidarity with the people of Gaza, this attempt has failed. The coalition that formed around the Freedom Flotilla solemnly declared that the violence employed in May will not stop in any way our resolve to oppose the embargo genocide and intransigence with which Israel prevents the conduct of humanitarian missions.
The Freedom Flotilla 2 is in fact being prepared. From Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia, Arab and Islamic world are building the largest international solidarity actions. And 'this is the strongest response and effective we seek for crimes committed against the Palestinian people, but also the guilty silence of most of the West.
The first phase, just as important and delicate, is to develop a campaign of adherence, support, information and mobilization in the months before the start of the Freedom Flottille.
We attacks and pressures, three hundred and sixty degrees, as the initiative will take shape and the most poisonous are the attacks. The attempt to manifest is to fernie Freedom Flottille since its birth, with smear campaigns, with the Israeli pressure on governments to ensure that the ports do not allow the departure of the previous Flottille is there to remind us what it is willing to make Israel. And we, here in Italy, we have to deal with the government more Zionist in Europe.
The objective is to arrive in Gaza to deliver drugs and other kinds basic necessities to the besieged population. The success of this initiative depends on many factors, but especially the support that it will lead all countries in which it is organizing the flotilla, including - for the first time with his ship - Italy. Our ship will be named Stefano Chiarini, Manifesto journalist and uncompromising supporter of the rights of the Palestinian people and all oppressed people: in his memory in our hearts, we all feel stronger and more determined.
For this we make a strong call to action.
We turn to the movement of solidarity with the Palestinian cause to be organized efforts to support the Freedom Flotilla throughout Italy.
We appeal to all democratic forces in the antiwar movement, to all those who aspire to a just peace in the Middle East, to side with this great humanitarian initiative and international solidarity.
The Freedom Flotilla points to Gaza, but speaks to all of Palestine under siege, the 5 million Palestinian victims of Israeli ethnic cleansing, the Cis-Jordan in the grip of the wall and the Zionist settlements, Palestinians in Jerusalem and Hebron, to 11 000 prisoners in Israeli jails and supports the legitimate demands of having a free country and sovereign state with Jerusalem as its capital and which Palestinians in the diaspora can return.
To those who believe that we should not ever adapt to oppression and injustice no choice but to act. Today, not tomorrow. With the active engagement, not with resignation.
The people of Palestine in Gaza wait a strong signal of solidarity and brotherhood. We can give it.

decisions in 3rd NATIONAL MEETING (Rome, October 9, 2010)
In the third national meeting for the Freedom Flotilla two were taken the following decisions:
1. Starts from the beginning a campaign of initiatives to support all local, indicating to focus maximum effort during the period October 25 to November 25.
2. In the last weekend of November, during the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people, there will be initiatives in all major cities of Italy.
3. All of these encounters and mobilization also have to develop fund raising, with the goal of reaching 500 thousand Euros needed to cover the cost of the Italian ship
4. The subscription has already begun. Donations can also be made from the home site www.freedomflotilla.it , which will be the official organ of the Freedom Flotilla - Italy.
