This full-bodied book of poems - less than 67 poems of the last 25 years - joins with continuity of style and content to the already numerous collections of poems by Salvatore Cagliola; gathered in language and dialect, alternating in over forty years of life, which would be sufficient time to track now the most common themes of the poetry of Prayer.
Cagliola's poetry does not have a privileged linguistic grounds, a choice that would justify outright different worlds. Dialect and language, Cagliola, are two sides of same coin, both of which serve to "poetry", that is to find forms, images and sounds typical of poetry, which presents the reader immediately with its most usual: gray, as worth living, green as the Christian hope, pink as the golden landscapes of our country. On these three thematic areas of content to spread research Cagliola; his Weltanshuung opens from small to large, out of the heart of the individual as such to the heart of creation, because it is a positive vision of God, even if strong and sincere is the awareness of pain and disappointment ......
